Club Meetings

The J. B. Johnston Club meets annually, on the two days before the meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. The first day is devoted to the Annual Karger Workshop, a one-day symposium on a specific topic in comparative or evolutionary neurobiolgy, organized by one or more members of the Club and sponored by S. Karger AG. The Proceedings of the Workshop are published in the Club’s official journal, Brain, Behavior, and Evolution, during the following year.

The second day of the meeting comprises volunteered presentations by members, which are selected by the Program Committee from abstracts submitted by members. Receptions are held at the end of each day for further socializing.

Members can also make room reservations (for the duration of the JBJC meeting and the Society for Neuroscience meeting) in the JBJC room block in the meeting hotel. This is customarily a smaller hotel, which provides ample opportunities for informal socialization.
